10/04/2013 Lithuanian Ambassador to the UK discusses EU Presidency
Her Excellency Mrs Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene, Lithuanian Ambassador to the UK, delivered a lecture about the objectives for Lithuania's forthcoming presidency of the Council of the European Union, at Newcastle University on 10th April 2013.

Jean Monnet Project
This Centre website highlights the Newcastle University's dynamic engagement in research, teaching and engagement with the wider community on the subject of the European Union. The Centre will continue its programme of seminars and debates addressing key issues which have an impact on the region. This academic year includes talks on the Lisbon Treaty, the legitimacy of the Court of Justice, EU media regulation, European environmental agencies, interest groups in Europe, EU competition law and policy, and many other topics.
