  • The future of anatomy: The impact of artistic learning techniques

The aim of this research is to establish whether using artistic techniques can enhance learning for students of anatomy. An initial review of the literature will focus on different artistic techniques that are currently being investigated, for example using body painting or drawing to improve learning. By further analysing the relevant aspects of how we learn I hope to design a study to explore the use of an alternative artistic technique. The study may be carried out in the next academic year and if the quantitative data supports the technique, it could be integrated into the existing MBBS curriculum.
