This project is a piece of literature based conceptual work focused on the social aspects of the phenomenon of stillbirth. The aim is to conduct a conceptual review of sociological literature on the topic, which will then be used to develop a case study in medical sociological thought. The case study output, or portfolio, will consist of an annotated bibliography, plus an overview paper. The portfolio will then be used to inform the development of research-led teaching materials for the medical sociology teaching and research currently provided by Dr Ruth Graham in the School of Geography, Politics and Sociology.
