This project aims to critically analyse the discourses surrounding the ongoing Iranian nuclear development, in particular noting the differences between the discourses of the Unites States, the EU Commission, Israel, Saudi Arabia and within Iran itself. The project will assess the positions of these actors, what evidence or ideology this position stems from and the practical effect of that position to international diplomacy and Iran’s nuclear program.
This research will use English-language academic, media and policy texts as sources for this project. The grant will help to fund access to sources from Durham University's Middle Eastern Documentation Unit and the School of Oriental and African Studies Middle Eastern Library in London.
