Recently there has been negative press about Urban Foxes, with reports of foxes entering houses and attacking children and even the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has weighed in saying that they are “a pest and a menace”. The main aim of this project was to investigate the attitudes of residents in an urban area, in this case Fenham in Newcastle Upon Tyne, towards urban wildlife, and in particular foxes. Factors, such as personal experiences and the media, were considered in an attempt to establish what has the largest effect in changing opinions of Urban Foxes.
