The aim of my project was to assess the sensitivity of the leukemic cell line KG-1 to the chemotherapy drug, Daunorubicin. To achieve this I conducted a series of experiments to identify the conditions required for KG-1 cells to grow in 96 well plates. Once these conditions were established the cells were incubated with various concentrations of the drug to determine an IC50 value (the dose of drug which causes 50% cell death.)
