Julia Heslop is an artist and writer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. She recently completed her Master of Fine Art at Newcastle University. Previous work has included large scale architectural installations and cross artform performances. She has recently presented her work at the Hatton Gallery, Newcastle and at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2012 as part of REcall DOW. She is currently undertaking a long term research project looking into the politics and propaganda of urban space and architecture, and has just returned from a research trip to Belarus and Russia as part of this research. This trip has kindly been funded by the Bartlett Travel Prize awarded from Newcastle University.
