Captured

Captured is Newcastle University Business School’s internationally recognised leadership development programme for small and micro-enterprises in the North East of England employing fewer than 20 staff.

The programme is delivered free of charge and enables owners of small and micro enterprises to develop their management and leadership skills via 4 half-day workshops over a 2 month period. Each cohort of Captured has up to eight business owners and a key part of the programme is that each business owner is paired with an experienced manager from one of the region’s larger businesses who can provide an objective sounding board and a fresh perspective.

Over the course of the programme, the business owners identify key areas of their business that they want to develop. Through support from fellow business owners and by building a one-to-one relationship with their manager/mentor they leave the programme with an action plan for taking their business forward. Go North East, Home Group, HSBC, Nexus, IBM, HSBC and Virgin Money have all provided mentors for Captured.

As a Captured Programme Alumni, you will gain access to ongoing support including news and opportunities, free masterclasses with experts on a wide range of business related topics, our annual Christmas Fair and Christmas Gift Guide. See the links below for some of the recent masterclasses that Captured Programme participants have enjoyed.
