Antibiotic treatment for intermittent bladder catheterisation: A randomised controlled trial of once daily prophylaxis (The AnTIC study)

The AnTIC study aims to find out whether taking a once daily dose of antibiotic is worthwhile to prevent repeated urinary infections in people who use intermittent catheterisation to empty their bladder.

The study is led by Professor Rob Pickard from Newcastle University in collaboration with Glasgow Caledonian University, Aberdeen University, Cambridge University, Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, ‌Bristol University and Southampton University.
