Gurchathen Singh Sanghera

Gurchathen Singh Sanghera joined the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews in 2007. Prior to this, he was a researcher at the University of Bristol, Department of Politics. His current research interests include the politics of race/ethnicity; education, exclusion and social capital; critical approaches to human rights; and UN peace support operations in Liberia and Haiti.  He has worked closely with Dr Suruchi Thapar-Bjorkert (Uppsala University, Sweden) on issues related to social capital, identities and education amongst Pakistani Muslims in the UK, and published in Ethnic and Racial Studies, Sociological Review, Interventions - International Journal of Postcolonial Studies.
