Dr Sofia C. Franco has been invited to deliver an open lecture "Aquaculture in the UK: development, R&D strategies and future perspectives” at the Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar (Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, Campus of Penich Portugal). This is mainly targetted at students from the MSc on Aquaculture, with the objective to disseminate the UK aquaculture sector and build links with Portuguese students and researchers.
Post talk update: After this talk, several students and reserachers from the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria have been put in contact with UK ornamental aquaculture companies, trout and lobster companies, following their request. Most interest related to pursuing internships opportunities or restablishing eserach collaborations.
