ECRs present research at Aquaculture UK

Are you a company looking to building links with academia and don't quite know where to start? This event is for you! 

In a collaboration between ARCH-UK and SAIC, early career researchers (ECRs) will be showcasing their work at SAIC’s Aquavation sessions, during Aquaculture UK, on the 23rd of May 2018, at the Conference tent (Aviemore, Scotland). Aquaculture companies are invited to come and talk to the reserachers about what they do and potential for collaborations. Companies & ECRs will get a chance to network and build links.

 

When:   23rd of May, 3.45 pm

Where:   Aquaculture UK - Conference Tent (Aviemore, Scotland); part of SAIC’s Aquavation afternoon session on Innovation & Commercialisation

How:   ECRs will give a 5-min talk on their research project, relevance to industry and potential for collaborations; this will be  followed by a Q&A session

  • Social licence for aquaculture in Scotland (Dr Suzannah-Lynn Billing, Scottish Association of Marine Science)

  • Improving delousing efficiency of cleaner fish (Dr Adam Brooker, University of Stirling)
  • Showcasing lipidomics for mussel hatchery production (Alessandro Laudicella, Scottish Association of Marine Science)
  • The future of seaweed farming in the UK (Dr Karen Mooney, Queen’s University
