The Network and Applied Thermal Engineering (2016 Impact Factor: 3.356) have reached an agreement to publish a virtual special issue on ‘Thermal Energy Challenge’ in 2018. The state-of-the-art research presented during the 4th Sustainable Thermal Energy Management International Conference (SusTEM2017) will be considered for possible publication. The submission site is scheduled to open in September 2017. A publication timescale has been established between the editors and the publisher. Authors will submit their manuscripts via Elsevier Editorial System (EES) directly for scientific peer review. In line with the peer review outcome, up to 15 submissions which are accepted for publication within the agreed timescale will be included in this virtual special issue. Beyond the timescale, the peer review process for the remaining submissions will continue until a final decision is made by the editors.
