Zhejiang University and Hangzhou

Zhejiang University (ZJU) in Hangzhou is one of China’s most picturesque cities – the University is organised across seven faculties and 36 schools. ZJU is proud to be on a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Researchers at ZJU are making an impact across many areas that address global challenges, including clean energy, artificial intelligence, ocean technology, industrial control technology and global public health initiatives related to the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.

The Yuquan Campus (literally meaning “jade spring”) which is home to the Faculty of Engineering is conveniently located within walking distance to the West Lake and Hangzhou Botanical Garden and approximately 8km from the main university building.

 

Hangzhou is connected to Beijing via the China's famous Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage site which is also the world's longest canal. The city is also well-known for its West Lake, which attracts a large number of tourists every year. It is a summer in May with some rains occasionally. The temperature ranges between 15°C and 34°C.
