In September 2014 Helen Talbot, Darci Rush, Kate Osborne and Martin Cooke took part in the annual Yorkshire Fossil Festival. Our pitch was to explain “Not all Fossils Roar”.
We demonstrated paper-ink chromatography to school children and the general public, to illustrate the seperation of different molecules, using chromatography, found in the geological record such as hopanoid biomarkers indicative of periods of high methane oxidation activity found in Congo Fan sediments as part of the AMOProx Project.
