SYMPHONY
Welcome to the homepage of the SYMPHONY project!
The SYMPHONY project is based at Newcastle University with PI Dominic Bowman, which formally began on 1 Oct 2023 and lasts for 5 years. The SYMPHONY project was originally conceived and awarded funding as an ERC Starting Grant (ERC-StG), but the UK was not associated with the ERC's Horizon Framework at the time. Thus, the SYMPHONY project was awarded equal funding by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) in the form of a Frontier Research grant under the UK government’s ERC Horizon Europe funding guarantee [grant number: EP/Y031059/1].
If you are interested in joining the growing and diverse astrophysics group at Newcastle University, there are several external funding opportunities listed on the Collaborations page.
Current research team job vacancy: Postdoctoral research associate position in the SYMPHONY project (deadline: 6 January 2025). All details necessary to apply online are available on the Newcastle University job website.
