IN FOLLOW-UP

International multi-centre epidemiological study to gain a better understanding of the natural history of unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA).

Brief inclusion / exclusion criteria

Inclusion:

  • Patients must have had at least one UIA
  • Patients may have had another aneurysm that was clipped, trapped or coiled
  • Patients must be able to care for themselves (Rankin grade 1 or 2)

  • Exclusion:

  • Fusiform, traumatic or mycotic aneurysms are ineligible
  • Saccular aneurysms <2mm in diameter
  • Patients with a history of intracranial haemorrhage due to underlying structural lesion, nonaneurysmal SAH of unknow aetiology
  • Patients do not consent to long-term follow-up
