Philippa Page

Philippa Page is Lecturer in Spanish and Film at Newcastle University. She holds a PhD in Latin American Cultural Studies from University of Cambridge (2009). Prior to joining Newcastle University in 2013, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the KU Leuven in Belgium on the Marie Curie/EU-sponsored researcher exchange network entitled "TRANSIT: Transnationality at Large". She is author of the monograph, Politics and Performance in Post-Dictatorship Argentine Film and Theatre (Tamesis, 2011) and has published in the Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies, Latin American Theater Review, Review: Literature and Arts of the Americas, Perspectivas de la comunicación, Comunicación y medios and Confluencia. She is co-editor the volume Entre/telones y pantallas. Afectos y saberes en la performance Argentina contemporánea (Buenos Aires: Libraria, 2019), with Jordana Blejmar (Liverpool University) and Cecilia Sosa (Universidad Tres de Febrero/Royal Holloway, London), as well as the volume The Feeling Child: Politics and Affect in Latin American Literature and Film (Maryland: Lexington, 2018), with Inela Selimovic (Wellesley College) and Camilla Sutherland (University of Groningen). Her research focuses on the cartographies of transition in contemporary Argentina and Chile.

Philippa Page se doctoró en estudios culturales latinoamericanos en la Universidad de Cambridge, Reino Unido. En 2013, fue investigadora postdoctoral en la KU Leuven en Bélgica en el marco del proyecto Marie Curie/Union Europea "TRANSIT: Transnationality at Large". Actualmente se desempeña como profesora de literatura y cine latinoamericanos en la Universidad de Newcastle en Inglaterra. Es la autora del monográfico Politics and Performance in Post-Dictatorship Argentine Film and Theatre (Tamesis: Woodbridge, 2011) y tiene publicaciones en las revistas Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies, Latin American Theater Review, Review: Literature and Arts of the Americas, Perspectivas de la comunicación, Comunicación y medios, y Confluencia. Es co-editora del volumen Entre/telones y pantallas.
