Follow-up of ENRs (eligible not recruited patients) ended in May 2013.

The main follow-up phase was completed in March 2013. 

Recruitment to the SamExo trial ended on 31 May 2012.  A total of 49 children were enrolled:

*   19 at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary

*   15 at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London

*   8 at Sunderland Eye Infirmary

*   7 at York Hospital
