Emanuela D'Ignazio

Emanuela is Rome Transformed liaise officer with ArcheoSITAR. Her role is to carry out archival research in the archives of the Soprintendenza Speciale Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio of Rome, digitizing historical maps and archival documents and facilitating the smooth transition of information from Rome Transformed 3D GIS database to ArcheoSITAR.

Her research interest focuses on Christian and Medieval religious architecture and she is currently doing a doctoral research on the evolution of 4-7 centuries Christian Rome under the Pontificate, at the Pontificia Università Gregoriana of Rome.

Emanuela is an experienced archaeologist, graduated in Christian and Medieval Archaeology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (2014) and at the Scuola di Specializzazione in Archeologia at Rome La Sapienza University (2018). Over the years she has also developed her digital skills, training on GIS systems and 2D/3D digital survey.
