Bio

Hanin specialises in Data Visualization, improving the visualisation of complex biological networks taking into consideration the perceptual and cognitive limitations of humans. She is a teaching assistant in Data Science in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Tehcnology of Al Baha University, Saudi Arabia. Hanin received a master’s degree in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Liverpool in 2020. She is funded by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia Cultural Bureau.

Research

Hanin's research interests include visual analytics in fields such as biology and medicine, as well as spatial, temporal, and network data visualisation. Her recent work focuses on the challenges of visualising perception and cognition, in addition to the visual analysis of disease spreading through developing more usable visualisation for biological networks utilising the concepts of interestingness measures (quality metrics) and interactive visualisation.
