About our Project
Welcome to the Postnatal Contraception in the North East and North Cumbria Study (PoCo Study) webpage
The aim of the PoCo Study is to better understand the experiences of accessing contraception care in the period after having a baby in our region: the North East ad North Cumbria. We know that lots of women and birthing parents struggle to access contraception care and family planning advice in the weeks and months after they give birth - understanding where barriers to contraception care exist (as well as where services are doing well) will help us to deliver better services for new mothers and birthing parents across our region.
If you are a healthcare professional who works with individuals in the postnatal period, or you have had a baby in the past 3 years in the North East/North Cumbria region visit the Participate Now! page to learn more about the study.
We will also publish the study results on this page when they become available, anticipated to be in Spring/Summer 2023.
