Guidance

We will create written guidance for local authorities, NHS trusts, ICBs, and third sector providers on how to implement the process investigated in the research to extend the reach of SLCN support for preschool children. Guidance will focus on methods to transfer learning to other contexts.

Research Publications

We will publish our findings in research journals with respect to:

• using local data and intelligence to identify under-served/at risk children and potential opportunities to leverage support
• processes which enable local adaptation and sustained implementation of SLCN support and
• effects of such support for children, families and services
• economic evaluation of locally adapted evidence based early speech language and communication support

Policy Briefs

Research papers will be accompanied by briefing papers for local policy makers (local authority SEND and Early Years Leads, Designated Clinical Officers and commissioners) and national policy leads.
