About Us

We are a multidisciplinary Team of Researchers, Practitioners and Service Leads including Speech and Language Therapists, Health Visitors, Early Childhood Educators, Health Economists, Statisticians and Implementation scientists.

The universities collaborating on the project are Newcastle University, University of Oxford and Northumbria University. The institute of Health Visiting (iHV) and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) are also partners.

Many of the team members are embedded within the local sites where we are conducting the PLACES study.

The Co-leads of the study are Professor Lindsay Pennington from Newcastle University and Professor Cristina McKean from University of Oxford.
