Our laboratory is privileged to have extensive collaborations with internationally reputed labs within the UK and throughout Europe.

We collaborate closely with Prof. Peter Adams (Glasgow University). We have recently been awarded a BBSRC grant to investigate the role of autophagy and DNA damage signalling in senescence.

We are part of a Marie Curie Initial Training Network which is funded by the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under Grant Agreement n°316964. This network comprises of a premier group of pan-European scientists and industrial partners that focus their research activities on the molecular mechanisms that underlie ageing [Marie curie ageing network].

Stella Victorelli is a BBSRC/CASE studentship in collaboration with Dr. David Gunn at Unilever (Colworth, England)

As part of CIMA [The Centre for Integrated research into Musculoskeletal Ageing] we have been awarded a pump priming grant to study the role of senescence in musculoskeletal ageing. This award involves collaboration with Ilaria Bellantuono (University of Sheffield), Aprhrodite Vasilaki (University of Liverpool), Tim Cawston (Newcastle University) and Thomas von Zglinicki (Newcastle University).
