Summer of Science

Megan Goss, a sixth form student at the Bedlington Academy, worked in our group for 4 weeks to investigate and optimise our DSSCs. Funded by the Nuffield Foundation, she had the opportunity to undertake a reaserch project of her own. One part of the project was to present her findings at the regional Big-Bang-Fair competition, where project students from around the north east had their work judged by an expert panel. Megan was awarded for her project and was shortlisted as one of ten finalists for the Big Bang UK Young Scientist and Engineers Competition in March 2019.
