Global Challenges Summit 2018

Nathan, Heather and Richard attended the Global Challenges Summit hosted at Newcastle University. This conference was aimed at discussing methods of meeting the sustainable development goals outlined by the Global Challenges Academy. Projects on show ranged from grassroots development to sustainability on big-business modelling. 

Our group presented a poster explaining DSSC principles and the potential of the Peruvian dye project to be expanded in a sustainable way by allowing the indigenous people to make the devices themselves. 

1st year PhD student Heather won the poster prize, which was presented by the mayors of Johannesburg and Newcastle.
