In the spring of each year, the Oral History Unit and Collective meet to celebrate their acheivements, reflect on their work from the previous year, and discuss their plans for the future. The festival features a public lecture, as we welcome world-renowned historians to participate in the Newcastle Insights public lecture series. The Unit and Collective publishes its annual report to coincide with the spring festival. Our 2020 festival was cancelled as a result of Covid-19. We were instead joined virtually by Professor Indira Chowdhury for our Annual Public Lecture, as part of Newcastle University's Insight Series. You can view the event below.
