Dr. Andrew Fairley

Between 2019 and 2022, Dr. Andrew Fairley was a research associate at Newcastle University Business School, and is the Research Co-investigator on the SECT:OR project. He completed his PhD at the University of York in 2018, and has been working with Dr. Paul Richter and Dr. Fiona Whitehurst since 2019. He was involved in the "Small Businesses in the Times of Coronavirus" project which served as the springboard for the Captured project.

In April 2022, Andrew joined York St. John University as a Lecturer in Business Management.

Andrew's research interests include small businesses and entrepreneurship; innovation; communities of practice; and situated learning. On the SECT:OR project he is responsible for project administration; research design; and will be involved in data collection and analysis.
