Robert Rush

Original qualifications: BSc Electrical & Electronic Eng. 1981; MSc Applied Statistics 1996

Employment: Currently a Reader in Statistics with Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh having previously worked at Cancer Research UK, Napier University GEC Marconi and Ferranti EOD, Edinburgh.

Research focus: A particular interest in the role of child early proximal and distal factors of disadvantage on later language skills.

Ambitions for SEED: I am interested in the impacts of social inequalities on child academic performance using novel statistical techniques which might inform the future targeting of interventions.
