Pauline Jansen

Original qualifications: MSc Psychology 2004; MSc Epidemiology 2007; PhD Child & Adolescent Psychiatry/Psychology and Public Health 2009.

Employment: PhD-student, then post-doc, now associate professor at Child & Adolescent Psychiatry/Psychology, Erasmus MC (0.5 fte), using Generation R data; combined with a position as assoc. prof. at the Institute for Psychology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (0.5 fte). In 2011-2013, a 1,5 year fellowship at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Melbourne Australia (using LSAC data).

Research focus: Developmental psychopathology, with a focus on psychosocial factors (e.g. SES, parenting, peer relations) and a particular interest in eating disorder pathology.

Ambitions for SEED: I am interested in the relation between child language and behaviour development, particularly in the direction of effects, and which factors mediate and moderate these associations (e.g. role of SES, ethnicity and stress).
