The National Institute for Health Research funded ‘ADEPT’ Study has two main objectives.

First, to use complex systems approaches to better understand the challenges that service users and service providers currently experience in accessing/delivering care for people with co-occurring heavy drinking and depression, focusing on the North East & North Cumbria Integrated Care System area (NENC ICS) (Phase 1).

Second, to develop and pilot a system-level, digital intervention to help individuals with co-occurring AUD and depression access more appropriate, timely support (Phase 2).
