Prof Fernando Pérez-González

Prof. Fernando Pérez-González is Professor at the Department of Signal Theory and Communications, University of Vigo, and at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of New Mexico, USA. He is founding director of the Galician Research and Development Center in Advanced Telecommunications (GRADIANT) with a staff or more than 60 people. He has co-founded several spin-offs, including Bit Oceans and Bridge Mediatech, which respectively work in the field of printed document security and automatic content recognition. He has published more than 180 papers in international journals and conference proceedings, including about a dozen papers in the IEEE Trans. on Information Forensics and Security. He has served in the editorial board of four journals related to information forensics and security and is the current general chair of the IEEE International Workshop of Information Forensics and Security (WIFS12). He holds 12 international patents in telecommunications and media security. He has taken part in several EU-funded projects, and currently participates in the FP7 Open-FET project REWIND, which develops tools for reverse-engineering operator chains for forensics applications.
