Call for Work in Progress Series, 2023/24

Call for presentations from Newcastle University staff and students with the opportunity to get feedback on work in progress that relates to medical humanities.

We would like to continue our tradition of offering Newcastle University colleagues including PGR students, the opportunity to get feedback on work in progress that relates to medical humanities in a broadly conceived sense (e.g. spanning humanities, creative arts practice and social sciences), if they would find this helpful.

Typically, we agree a mutually convenient slot with a participant, and give them the option of running the session in person, over zoom, or in a blended format. We have in the past heard from colleagues starting out on new projects who wanted to test out ideas; from colleagues who are developing funding bids and want a sounding board, and from colleagues who wanted to talk through the challenges of developing engagement work on sensitive issues.

You can see past WiP series here: https://research.ncl.ac.uk/nclmedhums/events/

If you’d find a session of this nature helpful and would like to take part, please email Vicky Long (vicky.long@newcastle.ac.uk) directly, who would be happy to hear from colleague at any career stage, and from any discipline.
