Jocelyn Mawdsley

Jocelyn Mawdsley is senior lecturer in European politics in the School of Geography, Politics, and Sociology at Newcastle University. Previously she was a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at L'Institut d'études européennes, Université libre de Bruxelles and the Bonn International Center for Conversion and a lecturer at Manchester University. Her research focuses on European, British, French and German security policies from a political economy perspective. She focuses on defence and security technologies, industries, trade and regulation. She is a co-editor of the journal European Security (Taylor and Francis) and Chair of the International Board, Bonn International Center for Conversion. She has experience writing policy reports for the European Commission and Parliament as well as for national ministries of defence.
