Pilot Study
A pilot study funded by NIHR Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) programme (PB-PG-1010-23305) to investigate the feasibility of a future randomised controlled trial of a parent group intervention to manage RRBs in young children with ASD took place from 2012-2014.
Quotes from families who took part in the pilot trial
“MRB has made a huge difference. Socially, within our household, and the way we perceive our child’s behaviour.”
“Trying our strategies has been easier than I expected. Sometimes it’s just been simple things that have made all the difference.”
"Well I think for us the research project itself has been a positive experience, the information that we’ve took away and the strategies that we’ve taken away have been positive as well.”
“Other parents’ support and other parents’ input was very important as well”
