Mitochondrial Research Group

Under Maintenance as of April 2025

The Newcastle Mitochondrial Research Group (NMRG) bridges the gap between fundamental research and clinical practice to improve the quality of life for individuals affected by mitochondrial dysfunction.

As pioneers in mitochondrial biology, NMRG works in direct collaboration with clinicians and their patients to translate scientific discoveries into innovative therapies. This collaborative approach ensures the delivery of world-class patient care, driven by cutting-edge research and a deep commitment to making a real difference in people’s lives.
