Meet the team

Dr Paul Richter

Paul has been involved in various policy and practice-oriented research projects over the last twenty years funded by the AHRC, ESRC, EPSRC, and the EU. Paul’s research interests centre on innovation and entrepreneurship trends as they relate to a number of practice settings, including the cultural and creative sectors. Most recently, he has been part of an interdisciplinary team working on a series of research and impact-oriented projects collaborating with grassroots organisations and freelancers operating in the cultural and creative economy alongside a range of sector stakeholders, including local authorities, arts funders, and regional development organisations. Paul was a Co-I for MTMS I and MTMS II, a team member for MTM Collaborations and the Clayton Street Corridor, and the PI of Listening & Learning, a project that evaluated the hyper-local impact of The NewBridge Project – an artist-led space based in Shieldfield that supports artists and communities. Paul is also a member of Newcastle University’s Meanwhile Space Research Cluster.
