When used appropriately technology can help to support language and communication but there are times when it may be better not to use it.  In the first part of this workshop we will look at perceptions of technology in the early years. Technology is often thought of as devices with screens but we will see that this is just part of the picture. When deciding when and how to use technology educational practitioners need to consider the individual children, the context and the content.
