Stephen Lofts
Stephen has over 25 years experience in researching the chemistry, transport and bioavailability of metals and other contaminants in soils and waters. His research focuses on using modelling to understand and interpret patterns of metal behaviour and their implications for distribution and impact in the environment. He has led or been closely involved in the development of a number of models including WHAM (equilibrium metal speciation), IDMM (metal dynamics in soils) and NanoFASE (nanomaterial transport and biouptake at catchment scale).
