Heath Malcolm is a biogeochemist with 28 years’ experience of assessing emerging wastes in the environment. He has provided advice and led contaminant reviews for the World Health Organisation on a range of metals (zinc, copper) and contributed to WHO Expert Task Forces on metals (thallium, palladium), and other harmful substances (PAHs, flame retardants). He leads UKCEH contributions to the Defra commissioned Rural Heavy Metals Monitoring Network which measures concentrations of 25 heavy metals in samples of rainwater collected from rural sites, the Defra Review of Transboundary Air Pollution (RoTAP) and the BEIS funded LULUCF Greenhouse Gas Inventory and LULUCF Wetlands Supplement projects.
