Alex Riley
Alex is a PDRA at the University of Hull using a combination of spatial data analysis and field studies to forecast the environmental risks posed by coastal landfill sites under future climate scenarios. His PhD research at the University of Sheffield focused on exploring applications of ion exchange technology for selective metal recovery from mining wastes and industrial leachates. Prior to this he completed an MSc (University of Hull) studying contaminant dynamics and temporal trends within streams contaminated with hyperalkaline steel slag drainage waters.
