The project is funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and is supported by the following partners:

Contaminated Land: Applications in Real Environments (CL:AIRE) has been established to demonstrate remediation technologies and research on contaminated and brownfield sites throughout the UK. CL:AIRE will provide assistance with dissemination of the research.

The Environment Agency has a remit to protect and improve the water environment for the benefit of people and wildlife. The Environment Agency will assist with data collection, attend project board meetings and participate in stakeholder workshops.

The National Trust has a remit to preserve and protect historic places and spaces, many of which are located in coastal areas of former municipal and mine waste disposal sites. The National Trust will assist with data collection, attend project board meetings and participate in stakeholder workshops.

Natural Resources Wales has a remit to ensure that the natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, used and enhanced, now and in the future. Natural Resources Wales will assist with data collection, attend project board meetings and participate in stakeholder workshops.

Royal HaskoningDHV are an independent international engineering and project management consultancy. Royal HaskoningDHV will assist with data collection and attend project board meetings. 

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has a remit to protect the environment and human health and are responsible for regulation and flood risk management in Scotland. SEPA will assist with data collection, attend project board meetings and participate in stakeholder workshops.

The Coal Authority has a remit to resolve the impacts of mining, including in coastal areas of former mine waste disposal and coal mine water emergence. The Coal Authority will assist with data collection, attend project board meetings and participate in stakeholder workshops.
