I-REC 2019 Conference

In collaboration with the National Research Center for Integrated Disaster Risk Management (CIGIDEN) in Chile, Dr Diana Contreras Mojica participated in the I-REC Conference 2019 as a member of the Scientific and Practitioner Committee, as a panellist and as a Jury in the Student Competition of Emergency Housing. Additionally, she presented two conference papers entitled:

 - Contreras, D. (2019). Learning about Post-disaster Phases by Playing Serious Games in Santiago, Chile.
 - Contreras D, Villar-Vega M., Romero, L., Salgado, D. and Castillo, R. (2019). Participatory Assesment of Seismic Resilience in Costa Rica.

Dr Contreras Mojica also participated in the I-REC 2019 photography exhibition with three pictures entitled: "Wayuu children", "fishing boats during the drought season" and "El Cerrejon, coal mine". Pictures were taken in La Guajira, Colombia. The I-REC 2019 Conference took place from the 5th to the 7th July 2019 in Gainsville (USA), the seat of the University of Florida (UF).
