Specialist in Generative Computational Design for Industrialised Construction (KTP Associate)
We are excited to offer an industrial R&I position under a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project between Newcastle University and Merit.
Merit is one of the UK’s leading offsite construction specialists for technically complex and low-carbon emission buildings, and excels in offering high-quality facilities for the healthcare, pharmaceutical and bioscience sectors.
We are seeking a Specialist in Generative Computational Design for Industrialised Construction. The role focuses on automating and integrating advanced computational design methods into industrialised/offsite construction to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across design and manufacturing processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in computational design to apply their skills in an engineering and industrialised construction context.
The successful candidate will be based at the company but will work closely with both the industry partner and the research team (NU-DICE Lab: https://lnkd.in/eh-mTXfs) under a joint supervisory team Mohamad Kassem, Xiang Xie, John Hedley, and Justin Moorton. You will also benefit from a personal development budget.
