Prof. Milan Polakovič

Milan Polakovič is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Institute of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of Slovak University of Technology. He is also the Head of the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. Since 1986, he has taught numerous subjects at this department and played a key role in the establishment of a new study programme of bachelor of chemical engineering and upgrade of the existing master and PhD programmes in this field in 2005. He has supervised 15 bachelor final projects, 34 master theses and 14 PhD. He has been engaged in 10 international projects as the responsible person partner or coordinator and numerous national projects. He has been a board member of two sections of European Federation of Biotechnology – Section for Applied Biocatalysis and Biochemical Engineering Section. He is the vicechairman of Slovak Society of Chemical Engineering and the chairman of Slovak Association for Industrial Biotechnology.

His role in the proposed project will be the coordination of WP7 and management of STU activities in all work packages as well as to manage the consortium activities in the central European area.
