Jozef Markoš is a full professor of Chemical Engineering at the Institute of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. He is teaching several key subjects both in the bachelor and master study programmes (Theory of chemical reactors, Multiphase chemical reactors, Mass transfer and separation processes). He has supervised 30 bachelor final projects, 40 master theses and 8 PhD theses. He is a coordinator of PhD study programme "Chemical Engineering" in Slovakia, and intensively participated in the creation of a new bachelor and master study programmes "Chemical Engineering" in 2005. He participated in several international and national research projects as the responsible person or coordinator. He is the chairman of Slovak Society of Chemical Engineering and member of working party "Chemical Reaction Engineering" of EFCE.
