This workshop will look at the challenges of managing sensitive or personal data within the repository context and will hear from speakers who have practical experience of handling data which, for reasons of commercial sensitivity, data protection or research ethics, cannot be made fully publicly accessible.
Part of the day will be devoted to a group exercise in which participants will be asked to consider a number of sensitive data management scenarios. These are designed to stimulate discussion of some of the key challenges facing those who manage such data, such as strategies for maximising accessibility and citability, and best practice approaches to implementing DOIs and metadata.
