Events

13 and 29 May 2013, 10am-12 noon (lunch included), Research Beehive

As funder requirements shift, with more calls for transparency and accountability in research, the issue of good practice in managing research data is increasingly topical.

Newcastle University has been funded by Jisc to examine its practice in research data management (RDM), and to produce policy documents, training and support materials.

In this short session you will:

  • Discuss what research data management (RDM) is.
  • Examine Newcastle University and funder policies relating to RDM.
  • Explore current tools available to help you.
  • Look at ways forward and plan next steps in your own management of research data.

There will be coffee on arrival and lunch is provided at the end of the session for those who wish to stay on.
