We have corresponded with patient support groups such as ICUsteps and the Critical Care Support Network. We are very grateful for the interest shown in our study, and have appointed patient representatives to both the Study Management Group (SMG) and Steering Committee. The SMG meet frequently, usually monthly, to discuss the day to day running of the study. The steering committee meet about once every 6 months to review the trial's overall progress, scientific standards, operational delivery and to protect the rights and safety of the participants. 

It is our intention that the findings of the study will be published in open-access journals, with a lay person's summary prepared in parallel to this to allow a wider dissemination of results. The Study Results tab will be updated in due course, once a plan for the dissemination of results is finalised.
